Our Mission

Dementia Friendly Indy creates a welcoming environment for those living with dementia and their care partners through C.A.R.E (community events, awareness, resources, education).

Name

Holly Hess graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in healthcare management. During her time in college, she worked in multiple healthcare settings, including home health and long-term care. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to advocate for and serve those living with dementia and their care partners.

Holly serves as the Dementia Outreach Specialist (DOS) at CICOA, connecting with community organizations to provide dementia education and resources. Each Area Agency on Aging in Indiana has a DOS on staff. Holly has been with CICOA’s for three years and holds both her Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Qualified Memory Care Professional (QMCP) certifications. She also serves as the regional liaison for emerging Dementia Friendly Communities in Central Indiana.
