Dementia Friendly Locations and Organizations in Indiana
Dementia Friendly Indiana
See the person, not the disease.
Our goal is to change how people view dementia and raise awareness that some community members avoid daily activities because they fear others won't understand dementia or how to talk with them. This leads to isolation. Care partners often struggle to keep themselves and those they care for involved in their communities. This training shows how your business wants to be seen and demonstrates your commitment to making a positive impact by learning about dementia, its effects on communication and environment, and how we can support community members who still wish to enjoy local businesses and organizations.
